League week 18
2011-08-30 13:26:34

The 2nd XI became Division 4 champions without playing as the fixture at Winchmore Hill was rained off, but Braywood could only draw, therefore LKCC are 40 points ahead with 1 game remaining.
This is the first time in the 14 years that LKCC has been in the Chiltern League that we have won a division. Alan Sheraton has worked very hard with the 2nd XI over the years and deserves to at last able to collect some silverware. Well done to all the players in the 2nd XI squad.
The 1st XI were not so lucky, the Division 2 champions White Waltham scored 304-6 and bowled LKCC out for 141.

2nd XI close to being promoted & champions
2011-08-24 15:38:19

Subject to the League exec commitee ruling over a problem on Saturday between Braywood and Winchmore Hill, the 2nd XI at current standings require 2pts for promotion and 12pts to be champions of Div 4 from the 2 remaining games. If the exec over turn the result it will change to 27pts to be champions, promotion remains 2pts.
Can all players make themselves available for both teams, so last weeks problems are not repeated and for the first time since joining this league in 1997 LKCC can win a league title.

League week 17
2011-08-22 08:20:58

A bad week end for LKCC. Due to some 2nd XI players not making themselves available for the 1st who were short of players because of holidays etc the 2nd XI fixture had to be forfeited under the league rules. The 2nd XI could have been promoted as champions if they had played. With 2 games remaining LKCC players need to put personal inter club problems behind them and play as a club. The 2011 has season a huge improvement in our cricket and general moral around the club, therefore let's not throw this away in the next 2 games. Please confirm your availability to the captains early this week.

Team selection
2011-08-15 13:15:41

Pls note there are 3 league games remaining in the season. Pls ensure all players make themselves available. If we do not have enough players available the 2ns XI fixture has to be forfeited under league rules. As the 2nd XI could be champions we do not want this to happen.
