LKCC beat Great Horwood in the first round of the NPower Village Knockout. Horwood batted first and scored 187-6. LKCC were looking to hold the opposition to 140 but some long handle shots at the end pushed the score up.LKCC bowled very well for the first game of the season. LKCC's reply started badly with Fisal and Nadine going very early, but then Parker and Bambridge took the game on. With the arrival of Ibraz and Emmerson LKCC smashed their way to victory in only 33 overs. Ibraz finishing with over 80 to his name. LKCC will play Hawridge or Brill at home on May 4th in the next round.
A great thanks to the ground staff at LKCC for making yesterday's game possible. Al Smith spent most of last week at the ground trying to keep the square dry. Alan Sheraton, Lee Skinner and Tony Chick also did their impression of 'Ground Force' to get the facilities ready and managed to complete this with 1 hour to spare before the game started..
